El hombre que no lee buenos libros no tiene beneficio sobre el hombre que no lee. - Mark Twain.

The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them. - Mark Twain

  1. I infer this statement to mean that what we read matters just as much as whether we can read. When you read good books, with strong vocabulary words and powerful metaphors and thoughtfully designed plots then you get an education through reading. Really, reading good books is like taking supplemental vitamins for your mind! (When I was in college and graduate school, I used to highlight all the vocabulary words I didn't know and then get out my dictionary and look them up. I still do this, even though I've 'finished' school!)

  2. La clase de Mrs. Alvarado y la maestra Mrs. Cruz dijeron:

    First of all Mrs. Tatum,

    Rebeca said that was Beautiful!!!!!!

Aloni said it is good to underline the words that you don't understand and look them up.
When I was in Pre-K I didn't know any Spanish, then in Kinder and 1st I learned more and more.

Sarah said: I like your strategy of highlighting the words that you don't know, we do the same but we underline the words and we search in the sentence for something that will help us understand the meaning.

  3. La clase de Ms. Pollicove

Catire dijo: Yo infiero que este tweeter se trata de leer los libros buenos porque los libros faciles no te da la informacion que necesitas y no va a tener el grado que tienes.

Ben dijo: Si lees libros bajos de tu nivel,no vas a divertirte y no vas a aprender algo.

  4. Mrs. Cruz's class

Serguio said that when we read books we should read harder books to get better.

Jonathan said that when we read good books that helps us more to study and help us to get a higher level when we read with Mrs. Cruz.
